HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR


NESI, the progressive leader in providing quality support in the area of education and training nationwide to individuals of all ages, seeks qualified candidates for our Human Resources Coordinator opportunity. Contribute to the success of the organization by acting as liaison between Human Resources and individuals at all levels of the organization, ensuring that all employees documentation is complete, accurate, and thorough. Provide clerical and administrative support for personnel records administration, ensuring timely, accurate and appropriate data processing of employee related data. This position requires a focused and disciplined approach with an eye toward compliance with HR policies, state, federal and local regulations, delivering excellent customer service to everyone with whom she/he works, emphasizing teamwork, collaboration and positive results.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):

1. Obtain, track, review, and assist with the completion of employment related documents. Process, record and enter all data pertaining to employees records (i.e. new hires, transfers, salary adjustments, personal information changes, terminations, etc.) into the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and reviews output for accuracy. File completed and audited work in a timely manner while ensuring confidentiality.
2. Develop the process reports using HRIS database. Analyze and research requested data ensuring the quality of the data reported. Generate and distribute ad hoc reports as needed, provide related reports in a timely and accurate manner, meeting required deadlines.
3. Will maintain, gather, update and ensure the accuracy of all Matrix data and required reporting for assigned areas. Partner with Human Resources Representative in the communication of proper documentation procedures and compliance with Project Directors.
4. Assist employees with completion and understanding of critical/required paperwork.
5. Follow all mandated HR/Payroll processes ensuring internal controls are in compliance.
6. Provide constant monitoring of and communication with locations to proactively gain information on all personnel changes such as new hires, transfers, terminations, etc.
7. Monitor expiration and re-verification dates, proactively reminding and obtaining updated information from employees as required.
8. Assist with the processing of unemployment claims and verifications of employment as needed.
9. Assist with the creation of Personnel Action Forms (PAF) for the administration of new hire and existing employee salaries and other compensation.
10. Conduct comprehensive orientations for new hires. Answer employee questions regarding policies and practices. Provide training on harassment and discrimination, as well as other HR related topics.
11. Assist in all aspects of our annual in-service process.
12. Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
13. Respond in a timely and accurate manner to all employee inquiries and resolve issues and questions.
14. Partner with the Human Resources Representative to prepare for school site state monitoring visits and audits.
15. Monitor and collect updated information regarding changes in policies and/or regulatory requirements, information, and forms needed to comply with ever-changing industry, HR professional, organizational, local, state, and federal standards of employment documentation. Prompt communication of same to team members.
16. Conduct all responsibilities with a professional, positive, can-do attitude and problem-solving approach.
17. Perform other HR related duties and projects as requested and assigned.
18. Domestic travel to organizational locations for purposes of training and/or obtaining documents, possibly on short notice. Up to 50% travel may be required during peak

Requirements:

1. Associates degree required, BS/BA preferred plus minimum of 3 years related HR experience.
2. Minimum of one year experience in a high volume data entry environment.
3. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and HRIS systems, with the ability to enter and extract information accurately from the HRIS.
4. Accurate typing and data entry skills required. A typing speed of 60 wpm.
5. Familiarity with local, state and federal laws and regulations.
6. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
7. Position calls for someone who handles challenges, volume of work and pressure well.
8. Is comfortable delivering information and responding to HR inquiries individually or to groups of employees.
9. Effective problem solving skills and strong follow through.
10. A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
11. Ability to anticipate and prioritize multiple priorities from multiple sources and to switch direction quickly.
12. Experience in establishing and maintaining comprehensive filing systems, which includes confidential information.
13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional, pleasant, telephone manner a must.
14. Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus and the ability to function as a team player in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
15. Must have the ability to effectively and professionally respond to and resolve employee questions and issues.
16. Must be able to read, proofread, comprehend, and assist others with complex forms and documents and respond to inquiries.
17. Ability and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity regarding sensitive employee and Company information.
18. Proven ability to communicate and work in a polite, professional, and respectful manner and interact effectively with a variety of constituencies, including, but not limited to senior management, staff members, and internal and external customers in all operational and educational settings.
19. Ability to travel domestically, possibly on short notice.
20. Must possess a sense of humor and a can-do attitude.
