Oco, Inc. has an immediate opening for an SQL Programmer in Waltham, MA . As an SQL Programmer you will have the opportunity to play a key role in our customer implementations and will interact with the multi-disciplinary delivery team. You will utilize Ocos cutting edge tools and proprietary processes to configure customer reporting solutions as well as analyze and map customer data into Ocos Intelligent Data Schema.
The ideal candidate must be capable of working both collaboratively and independently, and be flexible, pragmatic and results focused.
The SQL Programmer will: Configure a variety of applications based on design specifications Assist in development of new applications as needed based on customer requirements Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs Utilize Ocos internally developed process and tools to query client data, identify key business relationships and map fields into Ocos Intelligent Data Schema Work closely with the Delivery Program Manager to determine the clients needs and how to meet project goals Support development activities for existing customer implementations Ensure assigned tasks are complete within the timeframe established by the project plan Assist in the testing of internal systems, as well as client implementations Take initiative when a problem is found to notify the appropriate individuals or to fix the problem when possible

Requirements:
Must Have: o 2-4 years experience with relational databases o Experience using SQL to explore and analyze data sets o Understanding of data structures as they relate to business behavior o Ability to write moderate to complex SQL queries, to read and understand complex SQL queries, and to utilize other SQL artifacts (such as Stored Procedures and Views) o Demonstrable programming skills in Java or related Object-Oriented programming language. o Good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable: o Exposure to end-user business intelligence and reporting tools o Experience with SAP and/or Business Objects technologies o Experience with HTML/DHTML/Javascript/XML o Experience with Cold Fusion o Experience using software engineering tools for source control (Subversion), automated testing, and defect tracking o Experience in specific vertical industries such as Manufacturing, Retail, or Finance o Adobe FLEX development and Graphic experience
